**REDUCED PRICE- This engine is now available for $7,000, a true bargain for a hand crafted engine with documented history

Your chance to complete the work of an acknowledged Master Builder. Lew Bullock (1914-2012) was known for his interest in valve gears, unique engines and making his own patterns. No. 7 is an American Standard type, 7 1/4", probably meant to be another Inspection Loco similar to his wife's namesake "Mable." He essentially completed this loco, sans coachwork, before his death at age 98. The construction standards are fantastic- a worthy example of scratch building like it used to be.

Featuring a type of outside Stephenson Link valve gear, she runs strong and square in both directions on air. Test was witnessed Summer 2021 at Dave Richards Old Steam Powered Machine Shop by qualified Mechanics. Referrals on request. Steam operation has not been attempted. A twin cylinder ratchet cylinder oil pump and a rugged twin cylinder feed water pump are artfully placed under the boiler. Included are a miniature injector, good size water glass and SS grates. Cylinder pre-lube is accomplished via an easily accessible, wonderfully crafted hard wood pilot. A fully fitted ash pan is included. The brass tender running gear is complete to the extent shown. A copper water tank fits precisely beneath the coal space, yet to be plumbed.

That's about it. Provenance goes back to the Bullock family. Reason for selling is no time to finish or enjoy properly. Finish it your way, as an inspection engine or a brassy 1800's 4-4-0 or suit yourself. Help loading for sure. $10,500.
