(Quantity of 2) Switch stands from the old “Deer Lake Park & Julian Railroad”. The DLP&J RR was built around Ollie Johnston’s vacation estate home in Julian, CA. Ollie Johnston was famous for his Disney illustration work. When Ollie was ready to run his train, it took about 1 cord of wood to get the steam up, he would toot the "Marie E's" whistle and kids in the neighborhood would come running to catch a ride. I have a photo of Ollie's locomotive running by one of these switch stands that will be included in this lot. Ollie's railroad was operational from 1968-1993 and there are a lot of fond memories of it. He was a kind man.
